Uganda

Sun and Sand holds two licenses in Uganda through its subsidiary Ms Euro Minerals Limited, Uganda. The license area of Ntungamo near Kyarubare village in Ntungamo district is approximately 350km from Kamapala and 86 Km from Mbarara.

The Ntungamo area has been reportedly prospected and exploited for tin by artisanal miners for many years. Diggings, pits, shafts and tunnels provide proof of past and recent artisanal activities. Many workers are mining actively. Artisanal workings are following the trend of the thrust and mostly all workings are situated along the thrust fault.

The first stage of surface exploration for secondary and primary mineralization conducted by BMRC, has been highly successful in identifying the shape of mineralized zone. This has been done through sampling and mapping artisanal workings, surface geological mapping and 3D interpretation of the geology and hand held XRF results of samples. The drill plan totaling to 2000 meters has been planned. Till date around 1000 m drilling has intersected multiple veins of Tin mineralization and sulphides, leading to discovery of primary mineralization.
